I have the Standard version and I have just changed computers, how do I transfer Budget Express to my new device without losing data?
To transfer your Budget Express to your new device, make a copy of your database onto a USB key or external hard drive, then install Budget Express on your new device using the link and activation key number that were provided to you when you purchased Budget Express. Finally, upon opening the software you will have the option to upload a Db type file available, simply select this option. You will find a video explaining this backup copy process on the Budget Express YouTube channel and also in our help document in the Configuration, backup copy section.
I have the Standard version and I am refused to download, what should I do?
You may have reached the initial installation limit. If you have reached the initial limit of 6 installations, contact us at support@budget-express.com so that we can add other installations to you. PLEASE NOTE: When the number of installations seems excessive, your request may be refused.
I received an email stating that my credit card will expire in 2 weeks, how do I change my payment information?
In order to be able to modify your payment information, you must access your customer portal by going to your Budget Express profile which is accessible by clicking on the little man at the top right then click on the + which is in a pink circle at the bottom right and choose subscription. You will be redirected to the Zoho platform and you will be able to modify your payment information. In case you do not have access, contact us at support@budget-express.com to send you an invitation to the ZOHO customer portal.
What is bank reconciliation and why should I do it?
Bank reconciliation is an essential process that ensures that bank transaction records accurately match planned transactions. This involves comparing and matching the transactions on your statement with those scheduled in Budget Express. It is important to do this, because it will allow you to know exactly where your gaps are and so you can adjust your budget or your behaviors that empty your pockets.
What file format do I need to do bank reconciliation?
Transaction statements, do not confuse with monthly statements. To carry out the bank reconciliation you must download the transaction statements in QFX (Quicken) or OFX (Money) format. CSV format is not recommended as the format differs from one institution to another. However if you feel comfortable changing the format, contact us at support@budget-express.com and ask us for the CSV template that works with Budget Express.
How to change the online access password?
The customer portal is accessible via your profile in Budget Express by clicking on the little man at the top right. When you are in your profile, move your mouse down to the bottom of the page and click on the + which is in a pink circle and choose New Password. In case you do not have access, contact us at support@budget-express.com to send you an invitation to the ZOHO customer portal.

Is it safe to use online?
We use AWS, a subsidiary of Amazon, for hosting the software. AWS is the largest platform in the world and is very secure. In addition, only your name and email address are required to create your access to Budget Express.
Why are bank accounts not linked to Budget Express?
Budget Express does not allow you to link your bank account because this type of service is not regulated. This is why you must download the transaction statements to carry out your bank reconciliation.
